Butty Bach
Butty Bach is a Welsh term meaning ‘little friend’ – and this charmingly smooth premium ale has certainly made more than a few friendships in its time. We brew it using Maris Otter and Crystal malts together with locally grown Fuggles, Goldings and Bramling Cross hops. With such fine ingredients, no wonder it remains a firm favourite.
Heartsease Farm Traditional Lemonade
Heartsease Farm is based in Wales, where the Watkins family have lived and farmed since 1903. The traditional lemonade is made with tart sun-mellowed Sicilian lemons grown in mineral-rich soils around Mount Etna. With 100% natural ingredients and Radnorshire spring water, it balances zesty and sweet tones for an uplifting and nostalgic drink.
Abberffraw Traditional Biscuits
Aberffraw biscuits are a Welsh shortbread pressed with the shape of a scallop shell and are said to be Britain’s oldest biscuit. Legend has it that centuries ago a Welsh king was holding court in Aberffraw on Anglesey, North Wales. His wife was walking on the beach there and, seeing a pretty scallop shell, had a cake baked in its shape.
Billington's Gingerbread
Since 1817, the artisan bakers of Market Drayton, Shropshire, have been keeping a closely guarded secret; the coveted recipe of Billington’s Gingerbread. Rich, exotic and famed for its ‘dunking delights’, historically the farmers’ wives and people of Market Drayton, Shropshire, enjoyed the celebrated gingerbread by dunking it into a glass of tea, coffee or Port on market day. This tradition, which is still enjoyed today, enriches the flavour of the gingerbread, bringing out the spicy notes for which the biscuit is celebrated.
